Asheville -- Minnie Lee Snelling Biddix, 84, of 600 Barrett Lane, passed away Tuesday, April 8, 2008, at Givens Estates. A native of Tignall, Ga., she had resided in Buncombe County for 60 years. Mrs. Biddix was a homemaker and mother, and a member of Sardis United Methodist Church. She was the daughter of the late Edwin David and Dora Brooks Snelling, and was the widow of Otis Garfield Biddix, who passed away November 27, 1981. Surviving are her son, Ronald W. Biddix and wife, Dorothea, of Asheville; daughter, Brenda Biddix Brock and husband, Steve, of Asheville; grandson, Ronald W. Biddix, Jr., of Asheville; and great-granddaughter, Raign Katelin Biddix; sisters, Edna Thigpen, Annie Ruth Snelling, and Mary Frances Bowlan; brothers, Rudolph and Harold Snelling and several nieces and nephews. The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in the chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home, with the Rev. Joe Faulk officiating. Burial will follow in Pisgah View Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 10:30 to 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
