Artie Ray Lane, 33, passed away Thursday evening at his home. He had been employed by the Dan Rivers Textile Mill. Artie was a member of the Stokely Chapel Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Faye Turner Lane; children, Kristine and Katie Lane and Christopher Sneed, all of Newport; parents, Johnny and Sandra Lane, of Newport; sisters, Nina Gorman and her husband, James and Angie Gorman and her husband, Jerrod, all of Newport; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the Brown Funeral Chapel with Rev. Sonny Webb ofÞciating. Interment in the Union Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday evening at the Brown Funeral Home. Brown Funeral Home is in charge.
