SANKEY, KATIE BOLING age 55 of New Market, passed away Monday, May 28, 2007 at St. Mary's Medical Center. She was a member of Holston Memorial Baptist Church. Katie was preceded in death by: mother, Pearl Boling; daughter, Sharlene Young; brother, Randy Boling. She is survived by: father, Doan Boling of Strawberry Plains; husband, Gary Sankey of New Market; son, George Jason Young of Knoxville; daughters, Darlene Standifer and husband John of Talbot, Melissa Lockhart and husband Gerald of Jefferson City; grandchildren, Mackenzie and Dallas Lockhart, Jacob and Brandon Standifer; Cynthia Haman; brothers, Donnie Boling, Ronnie Boling, David Boling and wife Ginger, all of Strawberry Plains; sister, Lora Leonard and husband Kenny of Dandridge; special daughter-in-law, Teresa Harman; several nieces, nephews; special friends, Kaye Fultz and Geannie Mock. The family will receive friends Thursday, May 31, 2007 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the Holston Memorial Baptist Church with services to follow at 8:00 pm, Rev. Arthur Pedigo and Rev. Cory Webber officiating. Interment will be Friday, June 1, 2007, 11:00 am in the Zion Baptist Church Cemetery.
