Argell Crum Britt, passed away peacefully at her home in Edwina Friday Morning at the age of 93. She was preceded in death by her husband of 41 years Hobb Britt, in March of 1977. Also Preceding her in death were her parents, P.N. Crum, Sr., and Ella Caldwell Crum. Brothers, Fred, Lester, John F., Roy and P.N. Crum, Jr. Sisters, Mae O’Dell, Reppie Crum and Lavada Ball. She is survived by her daughter, Elaine Kelley of Edwina; granddaughter, Keela Phillips and husband David Phillips of Dandridge; Brother, Troy Crum of Newport; Sisters, Eulala O’Dell and Ella Ruth James of Newport; Sisters in law, Ruby Crum and Edna Crum of Newport, Pauline Britt of Edwina and Sally Crum of Walland and also several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews; and a host of friends and neighbors whom she loved dearly. Argell was loved by all who knew her. Graveside services will be held 2:00 pm Sunday, February 22, 2009 at Union Cemetery with Rev. Doug Messer and Rev. Steve Cable officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to favorite charities or Friends of Mountain View Youth Development Center, 809 Peal Lane, Dandridge, TN 37725.
