Fay Murphy, age 52, of Maryville, passed away suddenly at home on Tuesday, September 8, 2015. She was preceded in death by her father, Blaine Shields; and brothers, Blaine “Bobby” and Lerry Shields. Survivors include, husband of 36 years, Wade Murphy Jr.; children, Faye Murphy and Wade Murphy III; grandchildren, Noah, Blake, Kelsey, Dani, and Kiera; mother, Catherine Shields; brother, Albert Shields; sisters, Rose Shields, Mary Rumpf, Helen Beinlich, Sally Shields, and Donna Sopota. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to East Tennessee Children’s Hospital Development Department, PO Box 15010 Knoxville, TN 37901-5010. Funeral service will be held at 7:00 PM Friday, September 11, 2015 at Miller Funeral Home, Magnolia Chapel, Rev. Dan Hix officiating. Interment service will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday at Grandview Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM on Friday at Miller Funeral Home, Maryville.
