Paul Everett Lewis Sr., age 57, of Maryville, went to be with our Lord Christ Jesus on Monday, September 27, 2004, at Maryville Healthcare Center. Paul was a Christian with a good sense of humor and will be greatly missed by all. Preceded in death by: father, Clark Everett Lewis; mother Vera Jean Haggard. Survivors include: beloved companion, Vera McKelvey with whom Paul shared life, love and laughter; sons and daughters-in-law, Paul Jr. and Hilda Lewis of Atlanta and Clark and Judy Lewis of Maryville; six grandchildren; brothers, Max Lewis and wife Sue Ann, Leonard Murphy, Wade Martin Murphy Jr. and wife Fay, all of Maryville; Sisters, Eliza "Penny" Dowlin of Maryville and Nora Penson and husband Jimmy of Dalton, Ga.; several nieces and nephews; stepfather, Wade Martin Murphy Sr.; special friend, Lloyd Paul Ensley. Special thanks to all the staff of Maryville Healthcare, the employees of Rural Metro, and East Tennessee Dialysis. Family and friends will assemble on Wednesday, September, 29, 2004, at 10:00 a.m. at Carpenter's Campground Cemetery for a graveside service and interment with Rev. Jimmy C. Penson officiating.
