Dewey W. Headrick, 74, of North Ridgeville, died suddenly Wednesday, May 31, 2006, at St. John West Shore Hospital, Westlake. Born in Sevierville, Tenn., he had lived in Cleveland until moving to North Ridgeville 18 years ago. He was employed as a set-up man at the General Motors plant in Parma for 33 years, retiring in 1988. He was a member of the Pro Bowlers Association and UAW Local 1005, Parma. He was an avid bowler, and prior to 2004, bowled in five bowling leagues. He enjoyed gardening, automobile racing, auto mechanics and spending time with his family and many friends. Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Rosa Juanita (nee McBrayer); daughters Karen Sivik of North Ridgeville and Rita Tormento of Cleveland; a son, Dennis of North Ridgeville; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and a sister, Leona Lloyd of Garfield Heights. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jonah and Rosa M. Headrick; sisters Geneva Murphy and Ada Ruth Headrick; and brothers Archie, Ira Jake, Raymond, Elwood and Wilbur Headrick. Friends may call 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Liston Funeral Home, 36403 Center Ridge Road, North Ridgeville. Services are 11 a.m. Monday at Galilean Baptist Church, 4520 W. 11th St., Cleveland.
