Notes |
- John Macomber is often mentioned in the history of Taunton, Massachussetts and
is called in deeds "John Macomber the cooper" to distinguish him from other
John Macombers. 23 July 1684 John Macomber of Tounton, cooper, acknowledged
that his wife Hannah, a sister of Edward Bobbit, received her part of her
father's estate by a deed of land "down Taunton River," being lot No. 1, near
Little River.
John Macomber was a soldier in King William's War in 1691. He made his will,
"being aged", 29 July 1716. He was living 21 January 1717-18, as a deed shows.
