Keith, Wanda Faye - born September 15, 1935, passed away on Thursday, September 17, 2009 after a long battle with Alzheimer's. Wanda was a long time member of Valley Grove Baptist Church in South Knox County. She was married to Rev. Curtis Keith for 47 years and was a devoted wife, mother and friend and loved her family and friends dearly. Wanda was a fantastic cook and was known throughout Knoxville for her homemade chocolate eclairs and hot tamales. The Keith family would like to acknowledge Wanda's caregiver, Ms. Pari Henley, for making Wanda's last few years so special. Words cannot begin to convey the amount of admiration and gratitude we have for this special lady. Preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Curtis Keith, her parents Charles and Hazel Henson.
Survivors
Surviving are her three sons and daughters-in-law, Gary and Linda Keith of Fountain City, Jeff and Devona Keith of Fountain City, and Brian and Carrie Keith of Franklin, TN; two granddaughters and grandson, Ansley, Lindsey and Samuel Keith of Franklin, TN; her sister and brother-in-law, Mary Lynn and Ralph Whaley of Seymour, brother and sister-in-law, Jack and Ethel Henson of Seymour; her aunt, Mae Stone of Knoxville.
Service
Receiving of friends will be held at Berry Funeral Horne on Chapman Highway in South Knoxville on Sunday, September 20 from 2:00-4:00 P.M. Graveside services will be held at 11 A.M. at Edgewood Cemetery on Gallaher View in Knoxville. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, PO Box 10088, Knoxville, TN 37939.
