Helen Ball, age 82, of Newport, went to be with the Lord, Tuesday morning, January 27, 2009 at her home. She was preceded in death by her husband, Isaac (Ike) Ball; son, Larry Doyle Ball; step-son, Jimmy Ball; grandchildren, Jimmy and Bradley Ball; parents, Carl and Mary O’dell; and brother, Walter O’dell. She is survived by her children, Glenn (Polly) Ball, Brady (Darlene) Ball, Mary (Ronnie) Wilson, Earl (Euladean) Ball, Charles (Loveada) Ball, and Ann Ball; brother, Ray (Carolyn) O’dell; sister, Ruth Mantooth; sister-in-law, Violet O’dell; many grandchildren, and great-grandchildren; Willie Stanley who was like a son; special friend, Willene Murphy; and many other family and friends. The family will receive friends from 6-9 pm, Wednesday, January 28, 2009 at Manes Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm, Thursday, January 29, 2009 in Manes Funeral Home West Chapel, with Rev. Arthur Willis officiating. Burial will follow in Inman Cemetery.
