She was a member of Central Baptist Church, Bearden and is preceded in death by her infant son, Michael; parents, Herbert L. and Dorothy Amyx King; her husband, Joseph Ellis Garner, Jr.; and a granddaughter, Amy Garner. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, David and Gail Garner, of Farragut; daughter and son-in-law, Deloris and Jim Tolson; granddaughters, Kimberly House and Jennifer Patterson; great-grandchildren, Zachary, Cameron and Garrett House, Tori and Campbell Patterson. Special thanks to the Nursing Staff at Parkwest Hospital, 4th Floor and Staff and Caregivers of Baptist Health Care Center of Lenoir City. The family will receive friends Saturday, March 1 from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Highland Memorial Funeral Home in Bearden. Family and friends will meet at the gravesite at Highland Memorial Cemetery on Sunday for a 3:00 p.m. graveside service, Rev. Leonard Turner of Union Cumberland Presbyterian Church officiating.
