Clarence M .Garner, age 77, of South Knoxville and Later the Seymour Community, passed away January 1, 2009 at Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center after a long term illness. A lifetime Grocery Man, retired from A&P Tea Company and FSRMC. He was a Veteran of the Korean War, and as his brothers before him served his country.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Ellis and Ruth Vineyard Garner, brothers, Charles Edward, Joseph Ellis Jr. and wife Pauline, sister Mary Frances Garner Nichols and husband William.

Wife: Mona Garner
Sons: Michael Garner and wife Carol, Gregory Garner and wife Jerilyn
Grandchildren: Michael and Crislyn Garner
Several nieces, nephews, and cousins
His wife and soul mate of 56 years dedicated this poem to him: “Who loves the rain and loves his home and looks on life with quite eyes, him I will follow through the storm and at his hearth- side keep me warm. Who loves the rain and loves his home and looks on life with quite eyes.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to a charity of choice.
