RUTHERFORD, EVERETT, SR. - age 91 of Knoxville, passed away Thursday, December 31, 2009. He was a member and Past Master of Fountain City Lodge #757 F&AM, Scottish Rite 32nd degree, and Shriner Kerbela Temple. He was Past Grand Royal Patron of the Order of Amaranth of Tennessee, Past Worthy Patron of Order of the Eastern Star #160, Past Commander of Couer'd Lion #9 and Royal Arch Mason of Chapter #267 and Council #129. He received the Knights Cross of Honor. Veteran of Army and Marines serving in WWII in Marine Corps and a retired employee of Tucker Steel Co. (T.T.I.). Survived by his wife, Mamie Rutherford; son and daughter-in-law, Dr. Everett, Jr. and Trudy Rutherford; granddaughter, Kelsie Rutherford; sister, Zina Terry. Masonic service will be held Monday at 8 pm in the Halls Chapel of Mynatt Funeral Home with funeral services following with Rev. Lee Cate officiating. Family and friends will meet at 10:45am Tuesday at Highland Memorial Cemetery for an interment service at 11am. Family will receive friends 6-8 pm Monday at Mynatt Funeral Home, Halls Chapel. www.mynattfh.com
