RUTHERFORD, EARL LESTER - age 87 of Knoxville passed away the same day as his wife Lucille Goins Rutherford Friday January 2, 2009 at home. Member of Beaver Dam Baptist Church and participated in the Eager Beavers. Retired machinist working at both Tucker Steel and Veterans Steel. Member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles. Veteran of the Army Air Corps during WWII, serving in several areas including the Aleutian Islands. Preceded in death by wife, Betty Rutherford; daughter, Debra Price; sister, Ava Clare and step great grandson, Jake Tudor. Survivors: son in law, Jim Price and wife Becky; step son, Duane E. Jones; step daughter, Myra Tudor and husband Wayne; step grandson, Greg Tudor and wife Kathy; step granddaughter, Jenny Everett and husband Michael; step great grandchildren, Mackenzie, Jonah and Elijah Tudor; brother Everett and wife, Mamie Rutherford; sister, Zina Terry; several nieces and nephews. Service 8 PM Tuesday Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel, Dr. Charles Earl officiating. Family and friends will meet at the funeral home 12:45 PM Wednesday to proceed to Highland Memorial South for a graveside service at 2 PM. Family will receive friends 5 to 8 PM Tuesday at Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel. www.mynattfh.com
