Annie C. Tweed, 85, passed away Thursday, June 5, 2003, in a local health care facility.
Mrs. Tweed was a native of Madison County and a member of Walnut Freewill Baptist Church.
Mrs. Tweed was the daughter of the late Rev. Loyd Chandler and Hattie Massey Chandler. Also preceding her in death was her husband, Hoey "Sam" Tweed, sons, Fred Lee Tweed and Robert Hoey Tweed and brothers, Fred Lee Chandler and Bernard Chandler.
Mrs. Tweed is survived by her daughters, Virginia Davis and husband, James, of Marshall and Betty King and husband, Robert, of Asheville sons, Wesley Tweed and wife, Ann, of Lexington, S.C., Donald Tweed of Walnut, Ronald Tweed of Lexington, S.C., and Kenneth Tweed and wife, Ethel, of Knoxville, Tenn. sisters, Odie Snelson and Hazel Thomas of Marshall and Pauline Roberts of Killbuck, Ohio 12 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday in the chapel of Madison Funeral Home in Marshall. The Revs. Roy Waldroup and Tony Shelton will officiate. Pallbearers will be her grandsons. Burial will follow in Bowman Rector Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. At other times the family will be at the home of James and Virginia Davis.
