Mr. Fredric Johnson " Johnny " Gunter , age 56, of Newport, passed away Sunday, February 15, 2015 at his home. Mr. Gunter was preceded in death by his mother Goldie Mae Boggs Gunter and father James Haddon Gunter ; brothers David Ashley Gunter and Jason Allen Gunter ; sister Kathy A. Gunter . He is survived by his wife Lois Gunter ; sons and daughter-in-laws Jason (Ashley) Gunter , Mitchell (Brittany) Lutz- Gunter and Adam J. Gunter ; daughters Heather Irene, Deonna Marie and Tessa Marie Gunter and Lisa M. Potts. Grandchildren Elijah, Zayden, Pedro, Nathaniel, Skyley, Ashlan, Dillion, Trevor and Allen; brothers Scott (Tereasa) Gunter , Kevin (Charlotte) Gunter ; sisters Tura (Rick) Maples, Myra Hurst and Eva (Reinna) Gunter and a life long companion Reva Ramsey. Additional survivors include several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. A memorial service will be held 12 p.m. Saturday, February 21, 2015, at New Beginning Baptist Church with Rev. Gary Ball officiating. Cremation arrangements by Costner-Maloy.
