RUCH, JOHN BARTHOLOMEW - age 90, of West Knoxville, died Wednesday September 2, 2009 at Parkwest Medical Center. He was a longtime member of Central Baptist Church, Bearden and the Al Royer Adult 6-A Sunday School Class. John was a graduate of Bucknell University with a degree in Chemical Engineering. He retired from Union Carbide in 1982 after 38 years of service. John was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Margaret "Peggy" Ruch; and sister, Lillian Hammor. He is survived by his loving family: son, John David Ruch; grandsons, John David Ruch Jr. and fiancée, Stacy Loveland, Adam Bartholomew Ruch; granddaughter, Jennifer Erin Ruch; brother, Raymond Charles Ruch of Melton, Pennsylvania; several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be 7:30 P.M. Tuesday at Rose Mortuary Mann Heritage Chapel with Dr. Larry Fields and Rev. Archie Fendley officiating. The family and friends will meet Wednesday at Edgewood Cemetery for a 11:00 A.M. interment service. The family requests memorials may be made to: Central Baptist Church, Bearden, 6300 Deanne Hill Drive, Knoxville, Tennessee 37919. The family will receive friends 5:30-7:30 P.M.
