CAREY, FRANK H. age 56, of Clinton, passed away on March 4, 2008 at East Tennessee Baptist Hospital after a long but courageous battle with cancer. Born July 19, 1951 to William T. and Laverne Carey. Frank was a retired employee of 32 years of B&W Y-12, LLC in Oak Ridge. He was a loyal member of First Baptist Church, Clinton where he was a deacon and active in the World Changers mission project. Frank also belonged to the Coal Creek Masonic Lodge #492 in Lake City, Tennessee. Preceded in death by father, William T. Carey; grandmother, Margaret Johnson; grandfather, Vivian Johnson; step-grandfather, Buck Beal; grandmother, Alice Carey; grandfather, Frank Carey; uncle, Maynard Johnson; uncle Laymon Johnson; uncle Joe Johnson. Frank is survived by his faithful wife of 31 years, Jane; loving daughter, Rebecca; mother, Laverne Carey; and sister, Donna Carey of Knoxville; uncle, Doyle Johnson and wife Sue of Halls; uncle, Gene Johnson and wife Lucille of Knoxville; uncle, Floyd Carey and wife Sue of Knoxville; aunt, June Maples of Knoxville; aunt, Sue Lett and husband Hugh of Knoxville; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins. The family requests in lieu of flowers that donations be made to First Baptist Church, Clinton Missions Fund and Family Life Center, PO Box 268, Clinton, TN 37717. The family will receive friends on Friday, March 7, 2008 at First Baptist Church, Clinton from 6 to 8 PM with the funeral service to follow at 8:00PM with Rev. Stan Elliott and Rev. Wade Bibb officiating. Interment will be Saturday, March 8th at 11:00 AM at the Woodhaven Memorial Gardens in Claxton with Masonic Services at the graveside. Holley-Gamble Funeral Home in Clinton is in charge of the arrangements.
