DENTON, PHILLIP E. - 40, of Dandridge, passed away during surgery at Morristown Hamblen Health Care Center. He was of the Baptist faith and was employed at U.T. Medical Center as an RN. He was preceded in death by his father, Ronald Denton; grandparents, Mildred and Earl Denton, Jewel and Nina Cate Hodge; grandparents in law, Bud and Bobbie Campbell; grandmother in law, Flora Mae Rainwater; uncle, Bob Hodge; and cousin, Jeff Hodge. Survived by wife, Ronny Rainwater Denton of the home; mother, Shirley Denton; mother in law and father in law, Judy and Shurrel Lowe; sister, Caroline Gray and husband Keith; brother, Mark Denton; sister in law, Joe Ramey; nieces and nephews, Kristi and Brandon Gray, Josh and Stephanie Denton, Luke Lowe and Ty Ramey; great nephews, Garrett Braydon and Cayden Elijah; special friend, Lois Hopkins; several aunts and uncles: Katherine Rickard, Roger and Linda Denton, Bill and Sherry Hodge, Sue Skeen, Melita Hodge Johnson and Juanita Cochran; cousins, Gail Haynes and family, Stan Skeen and family, Jolene Hodge, Robin Rickard and family, Michelle Warner, Tracy Hodge and family. Pallbearers: Brandon Gray, Josh Denton, Tyler Turner, Thomas Turner, Mark Lemons, Todd Bolin, Scott Gann and Wade Boozer. Funeral service 8:00 p.m. Thursday at Fielden Funeral Chapel with Bro. Matthew Barnes and Bro. Bryan Myers officiating. Interment 11:00 a.m. Friday in Pollard Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Thursday prior to the service at Fielden Funeral Home in New Market.
