Freddie retired from Irvington Fire Department in New Jersey in 1987 after 25 years of service. He received the Valor Award for Bravery. He later worked as a Security Officer for Dollywood amusement park in Pigeon Forge, retiring in 2005 after 12 years. His greatest passion was golf, he was a member of the Sevierville Golf Club. He loved riding his Harley Davidson, boating, fishing, and playing his guitar. He was an avid fan of the New York Yankees and New York Giants. He is preceded in death by his parents, Eleanor and Frederick J. Foster, Jr. He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Shirley L. Foster; son, Frederick J. Foster, IV and wife Suzanne; daughter, Linda A. Corrigan and husband Edward J. Corrigan of New Jersey; son, Travis France and wife Amy France of Newport, TN; grandchildren, Edward R. Corrigan, Jaime L. Corrigan, Megan R. Foster, Michelle L. Foster, Dereck France, and Zach France; sisters, Ann Saveriano and Joan DeSantis of Toms River, NJ; and twelve nieces and nephews. Funeral service 7 PM Tuesday in the Chapel of Atchley Funeral Home with Rev. John Clark officiating. Interment 10 AM Wednesday in Burchfield Memorial Cemetery.
