Ogle, Kenneth F. –age 66, of South Knoxville, passed away Sunday, April 19, 2009 after a brief illness. Ken was chief of the Knoxville Civic Coliseum Special Police officers. In 1971, Ken became a police officer with the City of Knoxville’s Special Police at the Knoxville Civic Coliseum and for over ten years has served as chief of the unit. Ken’s passions were fishing and EBay. Preceded in death by father, Clarence Ogle.
Survivors
Survivors include wife, Peggy Ogle; son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Sheila Ogle; daughters and sons-in-law, Lisa and Robert Watkins, Marsha and Randy White; daughter, Mary Cansler and Craig Monday; grandchildren, Brandi, Matthew, Jeremy, Justin, Josh, Kayla, Randall, Christian, Jeffrey and Rebecca; great-grandchildren, McKenzie and Thomas; mother, Katherine Winkle of Rogersville; sister, Rosemary; brothers, Clarence, Gene, and Carl David; several nieces and nephews.
Service
The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 PM Wednesday, April 22, 2009 in the chapel of Berry Funeral Home, Chapman Highway, with funeral service to follow at 8:00 PM, Rev. Jim Duncan officiating and eulogy by Ed Gillespie. Family and friends will meet Thursday, April 23, 2009 at Mt. Olive Cemetery for a 2:30 PM interment service.
