Sarah Kathleen “Tennie” Morrison Holsonback, age 90, of Maryville, passed away Monday, February 8, 2016. She was a member of the former Cades Cove Memorial Baptist Church. She was an Accredited Medical Record Technician and worked several years in the healthcare field. Tennie and her husband, Weyman, were avid travelers. She was most proud of her trip to the Holy Land. In her free time, Tennie loved to crochet and enjoyed making afghans and baby blankets. She was also a musician and served as church pianist and organist in her younger years. Preceded in death by son, W.C. Holsonback Jr., father, William Joel Morrison II and mother, Magnola Russell Morrison; brothers, Bill Morrison and George W. Morrison; sisters, Charles Morrison Long, Mary Morrison Long, Edna Morrison Lowe, Ella Morrison Lowe, Rosie Morrison Chaney, Jean Morrison Nichols and Rachel Morrison Blair. Survivors include her husband of 72 years, Weyman Charles Holsonback Sr.; daughter in law, Florence Green Holsonback; grandchildren, Larry Holsonback and wife, Josephine, Renee Holsonback Davis and husband Keith; great grandchildren, Brianna Holsonback, Catharine Holsonback, Landon Davis and Elijah Davis; brother, Enoch Morrison and wife, Sue; many nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral service 7:00 PM Friday, February 12, 2016 at Miller Funeral Home Magnolia Chapel, Rev. George Macht and Rev. Chad Morrison officiating. Graveside service and interment will be held 11:00 AM Saturday at Cades Cove Memorial Cemetery. Anniversary Holsonbacks celebrate 66th wedding anniversary today
Weyman Charles and Sarah Kathleen (Tennie Morrison) Holsonback Sr., of Maryville, will celebrate their 66th wedding anniversary and Thanksgiving Day today at the home of their grandson, Larry Dale Holsonback.
The couple were married Nov. 26, 1943, in Calhoun, Ga., while Mr. Holsonback was home on furlough from the army. The Rev. Thomas Henderson officiated.
Their family includes daughter-in-law, Florence Green Holsonback, of Maryville, and son, the late W.C. Holsonback Jr. Their grandchildren include Larry Dale and wife Josephine Wilkinson Holsonback, of Maryville, and Dena Renée Holsonback and husband Keith Davis. Their great-grandchildren are Brianna Melissa Holsonback and Catharine Ann Holsonback, Landon Matthew Davis and Elijah Trent Davis.
Mr. Holsonback retired from ALCOA Inc. after 33 years of service. He was a staff sergeant in World War II, serving in the European theater. Mrs. Holsonback is retired from the medical field.

Holsonbacks observe 67th anniversary
Weyman Charles Holsonback Sr. and Sarah (Teney) Morrison Holsonback, of Maryville, will celebrate their 67th wedding anniversary Nov. 26 with family. They were married Nov. 26, 1943 in Calhoun, Ga. while Mr. Holsonback was home on furlough from the Army. The Rev. Thomas Henderson officiated.
