TERRY, HELEN C. - age 79, of Knoxville, passed away Friday, November 21, 2008 at St. Mary's Residential Hospice. She was of the Church Of Christ faith. Helen worked at Coiffures By Joseph then moved to Alabama and became owner and operator of her own beauty salon. Preceded in death by parents, Lee and Ollie Floyd Cogdill; brothers, Claude and Gene Cogdill. Survivors: husband of 52 years, Thomas L. Terry of Knoxville; sisters and brothers, Stella Mae Snyder, Austin P. Cogdill, Emma Jane Loveday, James H. Cogdill, all of Knoxville; sister, Shirley Delena Henry of Powell; numerous nieces and nephews. Family and friends will meet 10:45 a.m. Wednesday at Stevens Mortuary to go in procession to Tennessee Veterans Cemetery for an 11:30 a.m. graveside service and interment. Minister Edwin Jones officiating. Family will receive friends 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at Stevens Mortuary, Oglewood Avenue at North Broadway.
