ALICE RUTH BYARD, age 83 of Dandridge, TN passed away Thursday morning February 11, 2016. A lifelong resident of Dandridge and Jefferson County, she was the daughter of the late George and Cenia Ann (Ownby) Fain, and was preceded in death by her sons, George Russell and Ronnie Lee. Ruth was retired from BASF of Morristown, TN and was a member of the Chestnut Grove United Methodist Church. She is survived by her husband, Walter Byard of Dandridge; daughter, Carol Russell of Knoxville; son, Ray Russell; daughters-in-law, Starr Russell and Jo Russell all of Knoxville; brothers, Clyde Fain of Cambridge City, IN, Arvel and Fred Fain; sister, Hazel Jones all of Dandridge; four grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and her beloved pet “Boots”.
Funeral services, Saturday, February 13, 2016, 2:00pm at Farrar Funeral Home, Dandridge with Rev. Larry DeVault officiating. Interment to follow at Dandridge Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Saturday afternoon from 1:00 to 2:00pm prior to services at the funeral home. ARRANGEMENTS BY FARRAR FUNERAL HOME, DANDRIDGE, TN.
