Day, Louella Miranda Tapp –age 89, of Knoxville, went to be with the Lord and join her late husband, Volney on Monday, August 18, 2008. She was a member of Lake Forest Presbyterian Church and was retired from Millers Department Store after 24 years of service. Preceded in death by parents, Will and Effie (Huffaker) Tapp; husband, Volney Day; brothers, Howard, Floyd and Bruce Tapp; sisters, Flora Dee Tapp Smith and Mary Tapp Dupes. Survivors Survivors include son and daughter-in-law, Sunny and Wanda Day of Louisville, Tennessee; granddaughter, Michelle and husband, Scott Carroll of Plano, Texas; great-grandchildren, Sarah and Mark Carroll. Special thanks to nieces, Bonnie Jo Hickman, Elaine Tapp Parkin and Linda Tapp Malmquist and caregiver, Ruth Morrissey. Service The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 PM Thursday in the chapel of Berry Funeral Home, Chapman Highway, with funeral service to follow at 7:00 PM, Rev. Jason Haas officiating. Family and friends will meet at Woodlawn Cemetery on Friday for an 11:00 AM graveside service.
