(June 19, 1932 - March 21, 2014) Corrina Hill Messer, on Friday March 21, 2014, departed this life for her Heavenly home. She was a faithful memberof the Northport Baptist Church. She loved singing shaped note music along with her husband. She was an avid quilter and seamstress. Many of her family and friends have been warmed by the love she sewed into quilts for them. In 1989 her husband of 41 years (Clyde) preceded her in death. She is also preceded in death by her parents Patton and Lola Hill, a brother Joel David (Hot Shot) Hill, and a sister Gelena Dockery. She is survived by her daughter and son in law Doris and Eddie Stokely. A much loved grandson, wife and great granddaughter Ashley, Jama and Gracie Stokely. She is also survived by her special loving and caring family at Jefferson City Health and Rehab, many nieces, nephews and cousins. The family will receive friends from 5 – 7 pm Tuesday with funeral services at 7 pm at the Brown Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Kris Brady and Rev. James Suggs officiating. Family and friends will meet Wednesday March 26, 2014 at 10:45 am for a 11 am for Graveside Service at Union Cemetery. Brown Funeral Home is honored to serve the Messer family.
