NOE, ROY LESTER age 83 of Powder Springs, and a resident for the past year at Ridgeview Terrace in Rutledge, passed away peacefully at 5:00 a.m. July 2, 2007. He was a loyal member of Mount Eager Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by: his parents, Ed and Dorothy Noe; sisters, Beulah Noe, Bessie Beeler and Lennie Sharp; brothers, Robert, Lonnie and Edward Jr. Survivors include: brother, V.C. Noe of Maryville; sisters, Mattie Lee Stone and Pearl Welch of Knoxville; sisters-in-law, Nell Noe of Maryville and Susie Noe of Anchorage, Alaska; brother-in-law, Bill Sharp of Knoxville; several nieces, nephews and many special friends. Funeral services will be held 8:00 p.m. Thursday, July 5, 2007 in the chapel of Smith Funeral Home with Rev. Gary Donehew and Rev. Ford Thomas officiating. Family and friends will gather at 11:15 a.m. Friday, July 6, at Mary's Chapel Cemetery for an 11:30 a.m. graveside service. Nephews will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends Thursday evening 6:00 p.m. till 8:00 p.m. prior to services at the funeral home. The family wishes to thank the caregivers at Ridgeview Terrace and Smokey Mountain Hospice for the love and care they gave him during his illness.
