She was preceded in death by her parents, Ory and Esther Fowler Smith; brother, Burl "Sonny Smith; sisters, Pearl Fowler Maloy (J.L.), Nell Fowler Myers (Shields), Irene Smith Reece (Herman), Kate Smith Bryant (Hubert), Opal Smith Perry (Charlie). She is survived by her children, Kenneth Holt (Gail), Sue Carol Fox (Fred), Janie Griffith, and Jeanne Davis (David); grandchildren, Kristi Fox Howell, Lori Fox Patterson, Heather Davis, Bradley O'Neal, Jeremiah Griffith, Alexis and Tyler Davis, Crystal Davis Parrott, Stephanie Bivens Burr; great-grandchildren, Emily, Jacob, and Allison Cobble, Sean and Nathan Howell, Tobey Howell Bowman, Branna and Elijah Patterson, Devon Parrott, and Kija Burr; special friends, Ordway Holt, Marie "Corrina" Everhart, Brenda Barnard and Debbie Loyd. Family and friends will gather at Mayes Family Services Wednesday, October 29, from 6-8 p.m. for visitation. The funeral service will follow at 8 p.m. with Pastor Peggy Moore officiating and special music by Laura Taliaferro, Darlene Smith and Sandee Seal.
