Delbert and Peggy (Hurst) Raines celebrate 50th wedding anniversary
Delbert and Peggy (Hurst) Raines, of Maryville, will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with a family dinner on Thanksgiving Day and a reception from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Lone Oak Baptist Church Fellowship Hall.
They request no gifts.
The couple were married Nov. 25, 1959, at the bride's home in Maryville. Pastor Ray Hubbard officiated.
Their family includes children Jim and wife Anne Raines, of Maryville, Johnny and wife Nancy Raines, of Maryville, and Jerald and wife Crystal Raines, of Cicero, N.Y. They have eight grandchildren, Danielle, Casey, Alex, MaKayla, Theresa, Ashley, Brandon and Jamie Raines, and two great-grandchildren, Aiden and Chae Raines.
Mr. Raines is retired from ALCOA Inc. and has pastored churches in Maryville and Pikeville. He is presently pastor of Lone Oak Baptist Church.
Mrs. Raines is a homemaker.
They enjoy camping and attending Southern gospel concerts.
