Bill Sherman Fine, age 76, of Cosby, passed away, Tuesday, November 8, 2011. He was a veteran having served 29 years in the United States Army and attended Edgemont Church of God. He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Anna Mae Fine; brothers, James “Jimmy” Fine and Darius “Jack’ Fine; and sister, Carolyn Maxwell. He is survived by his wife, Pauline Fine of Cosby; daughters, Debra Jean Shelton of Cosby, Carolyn Diane Nichols and husband Steve of Pigeon Forge, Vickie Lynn Fine of Knoxville, Billie Kaye Purkey of Morristown; special friend, Michael Williamson of Cosby; brother, Donnie Fine of Cleveland, TN; sisters, Jennie Staton of Newport and Betty Roberts of Tullahoma, TN; ten grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; special friend William Parker of White Pine; also other family and friends. Funeral services will be held 7:00 pm Thursday, November 10, 2011 in Manes Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Donnie Fine and Rev. Steve Johnson officiating. Entombment will be 10:00 am Friday, November 11, 2011 in Resthaven Memorial Mausoleum. The family will receive friends from 5-7 pm Thursday at Manes Funeral Home prior to the funeral service.
