James Jennings “Jimmy” Fine, age 74, of Knoxville, formerly of Newport, passed away Thursday, October 23, 2008 in Knoxville. He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Anna Mae Fine; brother, Darius Jack Fine; and sister Carolyn Maxwell. He will be greatly missed by his wife of 55 years, Ruby Hance Fine, Knoxville; daughters, Kathy (David) Roberts, Maryville, Starla Allen, Knoxville, Jamie (Scott) Neal, Pennington Gap, VA; grandchildren, Brandon and Josh Roberts, Alicia Allen, Knoxville, Bethany (Wesley) Beckner, Rutledge, Levi and Cammie McMahan, Sam and Tim Neal, and Lacey Fine-Neal all of Pennington Gap, VA, Keegan McMahan, Knoxville; great-grandchildren, Gracey and Emmalee Beckner, Rutledge; sister and brother-in-law, Jennie and Hoyt Staton, Newport; brothers and sisters-in-law, Bill and Pauline Fine of Cosby, Rev. Donnie and Candice Fine, Soddy Daisy; sister, Betty Roberts, Tullahoma; sister-in-law, Joyce Fine; brother-in-law, Charles Maxwell both of Newport; also several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 8:00 pm Saturday, October 25, 2008 in Manes Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Donnie Fine and Pastor Jack Dean officiating. Burial will be 11:00 am Sunday, October 26, 2008 in Lawson’s Chapel Cemetery. Pallbearers will be his grandsons, Brandon and Josh Roberts, Pfc Levi McMahan, Keegan McMahan, Timothy and Samuel Neal. The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm Saturday prior to the funeral.
