Mr. Jimmy Williamson, 51, of Newport, died June 11 at Baptist Hospital of Cocke County. He was an employee of Falcon and was grounds maintenance supervisor at Union Cemetery. He was of the Baptist faith. He was a U.S. Army veteran, having served in Vietnam. He was preceded in death by his parents, Viola and Olen Williamson; and daughter, Samantha Williamson. Survivors: wife, Ellen Youell Williamson of the home; daughters, Melia Clevenger and Lisa Clevenger, and stepson, Rodney Allen, all of Newport; sisters, Barbara (Ronnie) Webb and Helen (Randy) Thomas, all of Newport; brother, Billy Williamson, Newport; special grandson, Cody Moore; nephews, Phillip Williamson and family, James Thomas and family, Chris Williamson, and Dustin Webb, all of Newport; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Mickey and Carter Youell of Newport; and sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Pam and Larry McGowan of Ponce De Leon, Florida, David and Joan Youell of Knoxville, Jimmy and Marsha Youell of Knoxville, Matt and Mae Youell of Newport, and Steve and Leah Youell of Raleigh, North Carolina. The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday, June 13, at Costner-Maloy Funeral Home. The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 14, at Costner-Maloy Funeral Chapel, with Rev. Larry McGowan officiating. Interment will be in Union Cemetery.
