William Arthur Kelso, age 77, of Maryville, passed away Saturday, November 14, 2009 at the family home. He was a member of Wesley Heights Baptist Church in Johnson City. He was a Korean War Veteran, and was retired from Stowers Machinery Corporation after 32 years of service. He was preceded in death by his wife of 47 years, Betty Martin Kelso; parents, Ernest Lee Kelso Sr., and Willie A. Jenkins Kelso; brothers, Ernest L. Jr., Chester, Clyde, Gean, Eddie, and Clifford Kelso; nephews, Scott Kelso and Hugh L. Kelso. He is survived by daughters and sons in law, Becky and Stanley Hearon, Debbie and Harold Boring, and Lisa and Robbie Beason all of Maryville; son and daughter in law, Marty and Michele Kelso of Maryville; grandchildren, Karlen Boring, Wesley Boring and wife Carla, Michael Boring and wife Heather, Hope Hammontree and husband David, Angela Christenbery and husband Ronnie, Justin Kelso, Brian Kelso and wife Ceaira, Holly Tipton and husband Trea, Chris Hundley and wife Tina, Kevin Hundley, Faith Beason, and Jordan Beason; great grandchildren, Tyler Boring, Bailey Boring, Jackson Boring, Isaac Christenbery, Karli Hammontree, Gracy Boring, Kat Morris, Sierra Morris, Johnathon Christopher, and Jenna Christopher and soon to arrive Adriana Kelso; sisters and brothers in law, Barbara and Lubert Bradford, Shirley and Fred Duncan, Alice and Larry Stargel, and Christine Kelso; brothers and sisters in law, David and Christine Kelso, Hugh and Dianne Kelso; sisters in law, Jama Kelso, Linda Kelso, and Margaret Kelso; and several cousins, nieces, nephews and a host of friends. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Second Harvest Food Bank, (Please designate for Blount County), 922 Delaware Avenue, Knoxville TN, 37921. Funeral service will be held 8:00 p.m. Monday, November 16, 2009 at Miller Funeral Home Magnolia Chapel, Rev. Clifton Hearon, Rev. Scott Linginfelter, and Rev. Dennis Robinson officiating. Graveside service and interment will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at Centenary Baptist Church Cemetery.
