On a hot afternoon mid week I was at Lowes and bumped into an old friend from the Rhyne Lumber Company store days. Charlie Lewis doesn't seem to age and he confessed he would soon by 83. He remains active and has outlived his parents. His wife, Martha (Reese) Lewis has the longevity genes. I recall doing a story and photo of her late father, Lucius, who had turned 99 years ago. Martha is a cousin to the late Lois Reese, who ran C.D. Fisher Insurance for years. . . .
