J.L. Clabo age 83 of Sevierville, TN. passed away August 20, 2008 at St. Mary’s Residential Hospice in Knoxville, TN.
He was a member of Middle Creek United Methodist Church and a World War II Veteran. J.L. was a retired farmer and was employed with Cherokee Textile Mills for 30 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Willie and Eva Proffitt Clabo and brother-in-law, Wayne McCroskey.
Survivors include his sister, Marie McCroskey and special cousins, Shirley and Gary McNight; Linda Rolen and Faye Large; aunts, Annette Proffitt and Molly Proffitt; uncle, Walter Minton, many other cousins and friends.
Special Thanks is due all the wonderful staff at St. Mary’s Hospice and hospice nurse, Heidi Wiser.

Services will be held 7:00 p.m. Friday, August 22, 2008 at Rawlings Funeral Home with Rev. Dewayne White officiating. Military services will be performed by local American Legion Post 104.
Interment will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, August 23, 2008 in Middle Creek Cemetery.
The family will receive friends 5-7 p.m. Friday, August 22, 2008 prior to the service.
