James (Bob) Stormer age 74 of LaFollette, TN passed away August 11, 2008 at U.T. Medical Center. Member of Christ United Methodist Church. He was a Successful business man. Retired owner of Appalachian Beverage Company of Johnson City, and Stormer Dist Co. of LaFollette, & Athens, TN, & also Designer Shoe Outlet. He was a Veteran of the United States Army stationed in Germany as a military policeman. He was an avid U.T. Football fan, & a passion & love for horses, & NASCAR. Proceeded in death by daughter; Sherry Lynn Stormer, parents; Ross & Janette Stormer, mother-in-law; Mildred Varner, father-in-law; Paul Bates, sister-in-law; Patsy Cober, brother-in-law; Earl Prater. Survived by wife of 56 years Barbara Stormer, sisters; Shirley Underwood of Corryton, Joann Henderlight of Claxton, Dot Prater of Clinton, brothers-in-laws; Wendell Underwood of Corryton, Jimmy Bates of Atlanta, Ga. Several nieces & nephews. Service 3 pm Saturday Mynatt Funeral Home Chapel Fountain City. Rev. Johnny Beeler officiating. Interment Fairview Baptist Church Cemetery with full Military Honors. Pallbearers; J.W. Lee, Delius Carson, Tom Stiner, John Burrell, Herbert McGhee, Wendell Underwood, Honorary pallbearers; Glenn Shelby, Bill Beeler, Jim Bates. In lieu of flowers Memorial Contribution may be made to LaFollette Rescue Squad. He will be greatly missed by family & friends. The family will receive friends 12-3pm Saturday at Mynatt Funeral Home Fountain City.
