Garner-Boring engagement
Whitney Lane Garner, daughter of Paula Garner, of Walland, and Robert and Lisa Garner, of Andersonville, is engaged to marry Steven Casey Boring, son of Judy and Joe Cole, of Walland, and Dale and Anne Boring, of Maryville, at 4:30 p.m. Oct. 25 in the Wedding Field. Invitations will be sent.
The future bride is the granddaughter of Sally Crum, of Walland, the late Roy Crum, Ernestine Ivey, of Maryville, and the late Joe Garner.
The future bridegroom is the grandson of Alma Fugate, of Seymour, the late Merle Dunlap, Betty McKenzie, of Walland, the late Charles McKenzie, and Jr. and Estelle Boring, of Maryville.
The bride-to-be is a 2003 graduate of Heritage High School and a 2007 graduate of Maryville College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in sociology with minor in business. She is employed at Vanderbilt Mortgage and Finance.
The bridegroom-to-be is a 1998 graduate of Heritage High School and a 2008 graduate of Lincoln Memorial University in nursing. He is employed at Blount Memorial Hospital as an emergency room nurse.

Boring-Garner
Whitney Lane Garner, of Walland, daughter of Paula Garner, of Walland, and Robert and Lisa Garner, of Andersonville, was united in marriage with Steven Casey Boring, of Walland, son of Judy and Joe Cole, of Walland, and Dale and Anne Boring, of Maryville, at 4:30 p.m. Oct. 25 in the Wedding Field, Walland. Dr. Charles Bailey officiated.
Jennifer Bailes, of Maryville, was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were April Hensley and Caitlin Teaster, both of Maryville.
Emma Carswell and Ciara Lindsey were flower girls. Colton Carswell and Tanner Bowman were ring bearers. Kirsten Walcutt and Alexis Hensley kept the bride's book.
Dale Boring, of Maryville, father of the bridegroom, was best man. Groomsmen were Sam Lloyd, of Maryville, and Michael Lloyd, of Knoxville.
A reception hosted by both families was held at the Wedding Field.
After a wedding trip to Bar Harbor, Maine, the couple are living in Walland.
The bride is a 2003 graduate of Heritage High School and a 2007 graduate of Maryville College with a degree in sociology with a minor in business. She works at Vanderbilt Mortgage as a loan officer.
The bridegroom is a 1998 graduate of Heritage High School and a 2008 graduate of Lincoln Memorial University as a registered nurse. He is employed at Blount Memorial Hospital as an RN in the emergency room.
