KECK, JAMES PROCTOR (PROCK) - age 82, passed away peacefully at home, July 5, surrounded by his family after a brief battle with cancer. It was his strong faith and trust in God which allowed him to face the reality of his illness so courageously. Waiting to welcome him was his wife, Margaret; parents, Lawrence and Dovie Keck; brothers, Roscoe, Esker, Sherman, Joe; sisters, Beulah, Rebin, Dallie, Betty, Anna Mae; son-in-law Bill. Left behind to cherish his memory are daughters Geraldine (Wayne) Shelton, Teresa (Jack) Yearwood, Angela Taylor; sons, Eddie (Jean) Keck, David (Mary) Keck; grandchildren Kevin (Karen) Shelton, Karen (Scott) Felske, Romona (Tom) Hood, Anna (Chris) Johnson, Matthew Keck, Leann Keck, Kristi (Silvino) Lastimoza, Chad Yearwood, Carol (Chris) Thompson; great-grandchildren Thomas & James Shelton, Danielle & Patrick Borden, Samuel Messamore, Ryan Hood, Andrue Lastimoza, Makenzi Yearwood, Daniel Felske; step-great-grandchildren, Logan & Jakob Felske, Hannah Green, Tyler & Amanda Hood, Matt & Jessica Johnson; special friend Lucille Grubbs. The family wishes to thank the doctors and staff of Parkwest Hospital and Covenant Hospice for their loving care of our father and all his friends at Trinity Baptist Church who visited with him during his last days. The family will receive friends 5 - 7 pm Wednesday at Weaver's Chapel with the service to follow at 7:00. The funeral service will be officiated by his pastor, Rev. David Stooksbury. Family and friends will meet at 12:15 pm Thursday at Weaver's to proceed to Lynch-Bethel Cemetery for a 1 pm interment.
