Jordan Malachi Haney, age 6 of Parrottsville passed away August 7, 2008 at Johnson City Medical Center. His favorite things were camping with his family, fishing, and riding his bike with his little brother. Jordan was a 2008 graduate of Mrs. Deana Williams’ kindergarten class at Parrottsville Elementary School. He would have attended Mrs. Ann Suggs’ 1st grade class this year. He attended Round Mountain Baptist Church where he and his dad played guitar for church services.
He is survived by his parents, Anthony and Wendy Haney of Parrottsville; brother, Tyler Haney of Parrottsville; grandparents, Billy and Madge Williams of Parrottsville and Wayne and Nellie Haney of Del Rio; great-grandparents, Mary Lou Williams of Parrottsville and Hattie Haney-Philbeck of Del Rio; aunts and uncles, Rodney and Regina Haney of Ranlo, N.C., Curtis and Mary Lou Haney of Statesville, N.C. and Jimmy and Cindy Shropshire of Dandridge; cousins, Rochell, Makayla, Aaron, Avery, Lillian and Nicholas Haney, Gina and Austin Shropshire.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, August 10, 2008 at First United Methodist Church with Rev. Mike Strange and Rev. Steve Blanchard officiating. Interment will be in Faubion Cemetery.
Family will receive friends from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday, August 9, 2008 at Costner-Maloy Funeral Home.
Pallbearers are Ethan Barrett, Thomas Gorrell, Joseph Gorrell, MacKenzie Strange, Justin Shropshire, Daniel Haney and Robbie Haney.
