Henry Charles (H.C.) Hux, age 77, of Dandridge, passed away, Tuesday, October 20, 2015, at his home. He was a member of West End Baptist Church and longtime employee of White Stores and Newport Utilities. He was preceded in death by his wife, Sandra A. Hux; parents, Carl and Irene Hux; sister, Diane Lindsey; and niece, Jada Hurst. He is survived by his son, Rusty Hux and girlfriend Lucretia Dunbar of Newport; son and daughter-in-law Dale and Crystal Hux of Dandridge; daughter and son-in-law, Pam and Mike Davis of Knoxville; sisters and brothers-in-law, Margorie and Bob Hurst of Newport, Rhonda and Gary Palmer of Lexington, Kentucky ; brother-in-law, David Linsdey of Newport; grandchildren, Courtney and Caiti Hux, Griffin and Landon Davis, Brittney Ragan, Eric Owenby, Austin Hux, Hunter Hefner and Martina Hux; special friend, Randy Dyke; also several nieces, nephews other family and friends. The family would like to say a special “Thank You” to Smoky Mountain Home Health and Hospice. Funeral services will be held at 8:00 pm Friday, October 23, 2015 in Manes Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Tom Mooty officiating. Burial will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, October 24, 2015 in Union Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm Friday at Manes Funeral Home prior to the funeral service.
