Wilma Fine Austin, age 75, of Newport, passed away at her home, Thursday, November 16, 2006. She was a faithful member of Wilsonville Baptist Church for more than 40 years. She loved her church and her church family. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lee and Maude Fine; brothers, Jim, Eck and Willis Fine; sisters, Lucy McGaha, Reva Beason and Alene Clevenger. She is survived by her husband of 43 years, J. L. Austin of Newport; daughters, Deanie Derrick Lamb and husband Kent, Marsha Derrick Johnson and husband Gary all of Dothan, Alabama; son and special daughter-in-law, Chris and Conchita Austin of Newport; grandchildren, Brandon Derrick Gilland and wife, Stacy of Waynesville, NC; Kelley Lei Lamb of Dothan, Alabama; Andy Austin and wife Amy of Newport; two precious great grandchildren, Spencer Ace Gilland and Alexa Breanna Austin; brother, Robert Fine, of Chestnut Hill; special niece that was like a sister to her, Stella Gray and her husband George; brother-in-law, John McGaha of Dandridge; sister-in-law, Deloris Fine of Ohio; also several other nieces nephews and a host of friends. Funeral services will be held 7:00 pm Saturday, November 18, 2006 in Manes Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Adam Sanders and Rev. Jack Bratton officiating. Burial will be 1:00 pm Sunday, November 19, 2006 in Union Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5-7 pm Saturday at Manes Funeral Home prior to the funeral. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made in Wilma’s memory to Wilsonville Baptist Church, Building Fund, 120 New Cave Church Road, Newport, TN 37821. The family would like to thank Smoky Mountain Home Health & Hospice for all their support.
