McGAHA, LUCY JANE FINE - age 80, of Dandridge, went home to be with her heavenly Father on, Thursday, March 18, 2004. She has been a longtime member of Swannsylvania Baptist Church and during her lifetime she touched many people's lives. Lucy was the daughter of the late, Lee and Maude Hance Fine also preceding her in death were her brothers, Jim and Eck Fine and sisters, Reva Beason and Alene Clevenger. Survivors include her husband, John McGaha children and their spouses, Betty and Bob Potts, Gerry and Pastor Harold Ball, Tim and Patty McGaha, Pam and Wendell Williams grandchildren, Michael, Tony, David and Debra Potts, Terry and Ronny Ball, T.J. and Bailee McGaha, Dustin and Matthew Williams and eleven great grandchildren brother and sister-in-law, Willis and Deloris Fine brother, Robert Fine sister and brother-in-law, Wilma and J. L. Austin special niece and her husband, Stella and George Gray also several nieces and nephews. The family found this quote in one of Lucy's Bibles and felt it was worth mentioning, "Sometime you will read in the newspaper that I am dead. Don't believe a word of it, for I will be more alive than ever before." Funeral Services will be held 2:30 p.m. Sunday at Swannsylvania Baptist Church, with Rev. Mike Hensley officiating, with burial in Swannsylvania Church Cemetery. The body will lie in state at the church from 1:30 until 2:30 p.m. Sunday prior to the funeral service.
