Preceded in death by parents, Cowan and Cora Russell; brothers, Grant and Grayson; sisters, Edith Gregory, Audin Harmon, Alice Townsend, and Ada Everett. Survived by loving wife, Polly Russell; daughters, Tammy Shephard (Gary) of Knoxville, and Brenda McKnight (Roger) of Benham, KY; grandchildren, Alissa Finnerty, Craig Finnerty, Jerry David Hensley, Jr. and Belinda Hensley; one great-grandchild, Joseph Erny; brother, Carl Russell of Jacksonville, FL; sisters, Hester Wilburn, Gladys Fowler, and Katherine Tipton all of Maryville, and several nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends Thursday, July 17, 2008 at Weaver Funeral Home with service to follow at 8 pm. Rev. Kern Spangler officiating. Family and friends will meet 9:45 am Friday at Sherwood Memorial Gardens for a 10 am graveside service. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Shriners Hospital.
