GREGORY, EDITH MAYBELL RUSSELL - age 87, of Alcoa, formerly a resident of Cades Cove, died Saturday, June 7, 2003, at Colonial Hills Nursing Center. Preceded in death by husband, Clarence E. Gregory daughter, Beatrice Caston parents, Cowan and Cora Russell brothers, Grayson and Grant Russell, and sister, Alice Garland. Survivors include sons and daughters-in-law, Tony and Evilea Gregory of Maryville, Ervil and Pauline Gregory and Granville and Earlene Gregory, all of Maryville daughter and son-in-law, Imogene and R.D. Watts of Dayton, Ohio 13 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and six great- great grandchildren brothers, Carl Russell of Jacksonville, Fla., Hubert Russell of Knoxville, Tenn. sisters, Audine Harmon of Alcoa, Katherine Tipton of Nashville, Ada Everett of Maryville, Gladys Fowler of California and Hester Wilburn of Maryville. Funeral service 8:00 p.m. Monday, June 9, 2003, in the Trinity Chapel of Smith Mortuary with the Rev. Lonnie Garner, Rev. Melvin Lonas and Rev. Sam Youngblood officiating. Family and friends will assemble for interment at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 10, 2003, at Grandview Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6:00 p.m. till 8:00 p.m. Monday, June 9, 2003, in the Trinity Chapel of Smith Mortuary, Maryville, 865-983-1000.
