ZIMMERMAN, Charles Henry Age 71, of Grand Blanc, died Tuesday, November 4, 1997 at Genesys Health Park. Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Friday, November 7, 1997 at the Dryer Funeral Home, Holly. Rev. Jeffrey Maxwell officiating. Visitation will be from 2-9 PM Thursday. Mr. Zimmerman was born in Flint on August 1, 1926, the son of Angus and June (Powers) Zimmerman. He served in the Phillipines during WWII as a Staff Sergeant, was a graduate of Flint Junior College, and was an accountant in the Flint area. Surviving are: his wife, Edith J. (Gillespie); daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and Rock Lindsay of Holly; 3 grandchildren, Laura Dru, Joseph Alexander and Clayton Matthew Lindsay; brother, Robert J. Brown of Flint; 2 sisters, Marjorie R. Callahan and Genevive Redick both of Flint; and special cousin, Connie Kontyko of Davison. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Laura in 1981 and his brother, Angus in 1949. Donations, in lieu of flowers may be made to Calvary United Methodist Church.
