HOLT, EVA SYLVESTER - age 92, of Tellico Plains, widow of James A. Holt, passed away 4:20 p.m. Saturday, October 31, 2009 at Wood Presbyterian Home. She was a lifelong resident of Tellico Plains, a well known, local artist, who participated in the Coker Creek Autumn Gold Festival for many years. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Tellico Plains and was a graduate of Tellico Plains High School, Class of 1937. Survivors: daughters and sons-in-law, Linda "Dody" and Frank Delano Raby, Cleveland, Donna and Kenny Hamilton, Tellico Plains, Jo and Dan Ervin, Morristown; son, Dennis P. Holt; daughter-in-law, Jannette Holt, both of Tellico Plains; 18 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; preceded in death by daughter, Kay Harms Johnson, son William (Bill) Holt. Funeral 8:00 p.m. Monday, Biereley-Hale Chapel, Rev. Randy Irons officiating. Interment 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, Center Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Monday at Biereley-Hale Funeral Home, Tellico Plains.
