WRIGHT, BOBBY NEAL "BOB" - age 75, of Talbott, formerly of White Pine, passed away Friday, August 8, 2008 at his home as a result of a heart attack. He played the fiddle and mandolin with the White Pine Senior Band, Hamblen County Boys, and the Ravens. He will long be remembered for his love for jokes which he shared often with audiences. He was a former DJ, known as "Daddy Rabbit" at WRGS, WCRK, WJDT, and WMTN, and retired from BASF Nylon Plant Instrument Shop. He was also a veteran of the U.S. Army. He is preceded in death by his son, Dennis C. Ballad; and parents, George and Mary Wright. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Betty Atchley Wright; son, Robert Allen Wright; daughter, Robin Ballard and her husband, James Patterson; sister and husband, Maxie and Larry Slusher of Bean Station; and several in-laws, nieces, and nephews. Funeral services will be at 7:30 p.m. Sunday, August 10, 2008 at Westside Chapel Funeral Home with Rev. Charles Robison officiating. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, August 11, 2008 at Harrell Cemetery in Bean Station. The family will receive friends from 5 - 7:30 p.m. Sunday, prior to the services at the funeral home. Arrangements by Westside Chapel Funeral Home in Morristown.
