• Notes

  Sarah and daughters were taken hostage during an Indian raid in 1703 to Canada. Many sources indicate Sarah was the daughter of Richard and Elizabeth (Tozier) Randall. However, the dates don't match up. The connection may have been encouraged since a similar Indian attack occurred with Elizabeth Tozier's family resulting in the death of her father Richard. Elizabeth Irons is also cited by some researchers as Sarah's mother but her father's will seems not to support this when using her maiden name. More research is needed.
