DONALDSON - Warren G. Starkey , 84, of Donaldson died Thursday, Feb. 9, 2006, at the Arkansas Heart Hospital in Little Rock. He was born April 23, 1921, in Friendship, the son of the late John B. and Nancy McMahan Starkey . He was a retired farmer and a member of the Friendship United Pentecostal Church. He is preceded in death by one son, Ronnie Starkey , three sisters, Bertie Pattilo, Nellie Sheehy and Myrtle Bryant and two brothers, Frank and Roy Starkey .
Survivors include his wife, Inez Helms Starkey ; one son, Alvin Starkey and his wife Margaret of Donaldson; two daughters, Wilma Starkey of Donaldson and Vickie and her husband Mike Burnett of Friendship; four grandchildren, Kevin and his wife Dawn, Keith and his wife Angie and Kari Starkey and Zachary Burnett and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 11, 2006, at the Friendship United Pentecostal Church with Rev. Mike Steed officiating. Interment will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery under the direction of Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Richard, Kenneth and Pat Helms, PeeWee Hamm, Bobby Babb, Ray Von Sealy, Aaron Johnson and Noel Goolsby. Honorary Pallbearers will be Jim Craft, Skeeter Henry, Raymond Jones, Gilbert Morrison, Dr. Bruce Burton and staff, and Home Health nurses.
Memorials may be made to Friendship United Pentecostal Church c/o Gertrude Echols, 340 Lewallen St., Arkadelphia, Ark. 71923.
Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
