Preceded in death by her husband, David Roy Whitehead; parents, John Harvey & Laura Whitehead; son, D.C. Whitehead; daughter, Violet Hollman; infant daughter, Joan Whitehead. Survivors: sons & daughters-in-law, Stanley & Janette Whitehead of Athens, Dwight & Francis Whitehead of Kentucky; daughters & sons-in-law, Oneda & Elmer White of Maryville and Freda & Lionel Lindley of Florida; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; sister, Ida White of Tallassee and Ethel Keeble of Maryville; daughter-in-law, Frances Whitehead. Funeral service will be held at 8 p.m. Wednesday April 5, 2000 in the Trinity Chapel of Smith Mortuary with Rev. David Webster, Rev. J.C. Reed, and Rev. David Koopman officiating. Family and friends will assemble at 10 a.m. Thursday, April 6, 2000 at East Maryville Baptist Church for the interment. Friends may call at their convenience after 12 noon on Wednesday, April 5, 2000. Family will receive friends 6:30-8 p.m. Wednesday, April 5, 2000 in the Trinity Chapel of Smith Mortuary, Maryville. 983-1000.
